28Clara Bow singing “True to the Navy” in a cute sailor’s outfit. From the promotional film “Paramount on Parade”(1930). I actually didn’t notice it before, but the description on the video reads:
If you look closely, you can see Clara glancing upwards ever so often. She is most likely looking at the microphone, of which she developed a phobia during her brief talkies career. She was always very self-conscious of her voice.
Not entirely sure if this is true or not, but it’s funny how you find something new when you look close enough.
